Today is Saint Patrick's Day, which means that MLB teams across the country dig out some green hats and jerseys, maybe slap a shamrock on there somewhere, and call it a day in terms of uniform accoutrements. Not the Mets, though. Instead, they decided to go all out and design a special Saint Patrick's Day hat featuring former Met Justin Turner Mr. Met dressed up as a leprechaun. It's not exactly the most sartorially pleasing hat—the orange and green color clash is kind of hard to handle—but points to the Mets for going the extra mile for the holiday. No word on whether the team will take the field with shillelaghs instead of bats.
