Matt Hasselback wants to stay with the Indianapolis Colts
Matt Hasselbeck doesn't want his 17th season in the NFL to be his last.
Hasselbeck previously told FoxSports.com that he intended to retire after playing out the remainder of his contract during the 2014 season.
"I’d like to do one more year then call it a career,” Hasselbeck said last month. 'I’m hoping for a good year this year and next."
The 37-year-old played in only three games for the Colts last season. He completed 7 of 12 passes, with an interception. He did not throw for a touchdown.
"I'm kind of open to anything, and my wife and I talked about this recently and I talked to a lot of my former teammates," Hasselbeck said. "The advice a lot of my former teammates have given me is right on point of what I'm feeling. Their advice has been just give everything you can to this year and the answer will happen. That's just kind of what I'm focusing on."
