LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Georgetown assistant men's basketball coach Kenya Hunter will be joining coach Tim Miles' staff at Nebraska.

Nebraska announced the hiring Monday.

Hunter helped John Thompson III guide Georgetown to Big East titles in 2008 and 2013 and to five NCAA tournament appearances in the past six years.

Hunter also spent much of his time recruiting for the Hoyas. Three Georgetown's recruiting classes he helped develop were among the top 25 nationally, including 11 players who were ranked in the top 100 nationally by either ESPN.com or Rivals.com.

Before joining Georgetown, Hunter spent three years as an assistant at Xavier, four years as director of basketball operations for North Carolina State and two years as an assistant coach at Duquesne. Hunter played point guard for Duquesne, 1993-1996.
