University of Tulsa suspends Patrick Swilling Jr.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- The University of Tulsa has announced the suspension of basketball player Patrick Swilling Jr.

TU said in a news release Wednesday that Swilling has been suspended pending a university disciplinary investigation and hearing. No other details were released.

Swilling is a senior guard who transferred to Tulsa from Southern Idaho. He has played in 20 games this season -- averaging 8.6 points per game.
