Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson responded to the news of Muhammad Ali’s death early Saturday morning.

Ali died Friday at the age of 74. The boxing icon was admitted to a Phoenix-area hospital on Thursday with respiratory problems. He died with his family by his side as his condition worsened.

Tyson burst onto the boxing scene seven years after Ali’s retirement, winning his first heavyweight championship in 1988 after a bout with Michael Spinks. At his peak, Tyson was considered one of the most fearsome heavyweight fighters of all time. Ali is arguably the greatest heavyweight boxer ever, holding the world title three separate times.
