Western Michigan guard David Brown will play in 2014-15 after being granted a sixth season of eligibility, according to David Drew of the Kalamazoo Gazette.

Brown averaged a team-high 19.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 33 games last season, earning first-team All-MAC honors.

The Broncos went 23-10 and earned an NCAA Tournament berth -- the program's first since 2004 -- after beating Toledo in the MAC championship game.

The basis of Brown's petition for a sixth season is that injuries limited him to only 19 games over two previous seasons.
