Former Oregon point guard Dominic Artis will attend junior college before attempting to return to a Division I school next year, as reported by Brad Winton of and confirmed by Sporting News

Artis was dismissed and banned from Oregon in May along with two other players after being named in a sexual assault investigation.

According to Sporting News, St. John's had interest in Artis earlier in the summer before ending its pursuit after an internal review of the situation.

Ex-Oregon player Brandon Austin denied admission to JUCO

Artis will now attend Diablo Valley College, where he will practice with the basketball team but not play in games, in order to maintain two full seasons of eligibility.

Winston reports that Artis will need to complete his associates degree and meet NCAA requirements to qualify for Division I.
