Highly touted shooting guard Levan Alston verbally commits to Temple
Levan Alston, a shooting guard from Haverton, Pa., announced at a news conference Tuesday that he has verbally committed to Temple.
The 6-foot-3, 165-pound Alston, who also drew scholarship offers from Georgetown, Cincinnati and Notre Dame, among other programs, is the No. 104 player in the class of 2015, according to rankings on the recruiting website Rivals.com.
Alston joins Trey Lowe, a three-star small forward from Ewing, N.J., as the second player in the class of 2015 to commit to Temple.
“I wanted to be close to home, so everybody could come support me and watch see me play,” Alston said, according to City of Basketball Love. “I’m from North Philly, so it doesn’t get any better than that.”
