SMU forward Markus Kennedy academically cleared
Kennedy was SMU's second-leading scorer last season, averaging 12.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting 53.4 percent from the floor. He has not played this season after being declared ineligible for the first semester.
The forward will be available for Saturday's game against Michigan, according to ESPN, but it has not yet been decided whether he will start.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Kennedy spent his freshman year at Villanova before transferring to SMU and sitting out the 2012-13 season.
The Mustangs are 7-3 this season and have won five straight games after starting the season 2-3.
