Arkansas forward Bobby Portis converted a putback at the buzzer to beat Alabama in overtime on Thursday night at Bud Walton Arena.

The shot came one possession after Alabama forward Shannon Hale drilled a three-point shot to tie the game at 91.

Arkansas inbounded the ball and quickly advanced up the court.

With less than five seconds remaining, Razorbacks guard Rashad Madden drove into the paint and threw up a wild shot.

The ball fell short of the rim, but Portis snagged it out of mid air and rolled it in at the buzzer.

Portis finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds in the win. The first 1,500 students were given headbands resembling what Portis wears during games.

Arkansas improved to 14-4 (3-2 SEC), while Alabama fell to 12-6 (2-3 SEC).
