You can't make this stuff up.

On the most appropriate day possible, Michigan State junior guard Denzel Valentine became the Valentine of everyone in East Lansing by hitting a game-winning three-pointer with 3.2 seconds remaining to beat No. 23 Ohio State.

GREEN: The coach you've never heard of with 1,000 wins

The three gave the Spartans a 59-56 lead, and then Valentine stole the inbounds pass from the Buckeyes' Shannon Scott on the ensuing play to seal the win.

Valentine — who else? — finished with a game-high 17 points as Michigan State picked up a much-needed quality win in the Big Ten.
