Kansas State hosts No. 8 Kansas on Monday night, and Wildcats senior forward Thomas Gipson said his team will "probably lose by 27, who knows?" according to The Topeka Capital-Journal

Gipson said that nobody on Kansas State is "on the same page" and no one is giving maximum effort, not even himself.

"I guess not. Not enough for my team to win," he said.

Kansas State is 13-15 on the season and 6-9 in the Big 12 conference. The Wildcats have lost seven of their last eight games, their lone win being a home victory over No. 16 Oklahoma on Feb. 14. On Saturday, Kansas State lost 69-42 to No. 19 Baylor.

"That’s what happens when you’re not on the same page, you get distant from each other and you don’t play as a team and you get beat by 27," Gipson said.

The Jayhawks are 22-5 on the season and 11-3 in the conference. In January, they beat the Wildcats 68-57 at home. Kansas is a 5.5-point favorite going into Monday's matchup, according to Bovada.

"We have to do something," Gipson said. "Hopefully the crowd will be there and we can feed off the energy of the crowd."
