Kentucky's odds of running the table
Wednesday February 25th, 2015

At a perfect 27-0 (and 27-0 straight up) the Kentucky Wildcats are the clear favorite on the odds to win the NCAA tournament this year. The Wildcats seem to be picking up steam in the closing weeks of the season as they head towards March Madness.

Kentucky is a 1/1 favorite to win the NCAA tournament. What makes Kentucky so dangerous is the combination of an offense that averages 74.7 points per game through balanced scoring and a stingy defense that allows only 52.6 points per game. Even if a player or two is having an off night, the team's defense and depth on offense can drive the Wildcats to victory.

The second team on the college basketball futures betting board is Wisconsin at 8/1 to win the title. Since suffering an upset loss to Rutgers back in early January, Wisconsin has been on a tear. The Badgers have gone 10-1, and star Frank Kaminsky is averaging 17.7 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. Wisconsin's defense ranks sixth best in the nation allowing 55.4 points per game. Like the Wildcats, the Badgers will be tough to beat in the tournament.

Out west, Arizona has put together a strong season. Ugly road losses at UNLV, Oregon State and Arizona State are indeed blemishes, but overall the Wildcats are 24-3 straight up and 16-11 against the spread with a 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS record over their last 10 games. Averaging 75.6 points per game on offense while allowing 58.7 points per game on defense, the Wildcats could make a nice play at 14/1 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Villanova (16/1 to win the NCAA tournament) has been playing great basketball as well with a 25-2 SU and 19-8 ATS record. Darrun Hillard II leads an offense that averages 75.1 points per game, and the Wildcats are rolling towards the tournament with a perfect 8-0 SU and ATS record in their last eight games.

Duke (9/1), Virginia (12/1), Gonzaga (14/1), Utah (25/1), Kansas (28/1), North Carolina (28/1) and Notre Dame (28/1) round out the top contenders on the 2015 March Madness betting board.
