It took the No. 2 ranked University of Virginia men's basketball team almost 14 minutes to score more than two points against Syracuse on Monday night.

Anthony Gill scored for UVA with 11:46 left in the first half, but the team did not score again until Evan Nolte hit a three-point shot with 6:06 remaining.

Virginia is 27-1 on the season, and a possible No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. The team's lone loss this season was a three-point defeat to Duke on Jan. 31.

Despite the slow start, UVA scored on its last nine possessions of the half, and led Syracuse at halftime, 23-20.

UVA won the game, 59-47 to win the ACC regular season title for the second straight year. The Cavaliers play No. 16 Louisville on Saturday.
