Brooks was called for a flagrant-1 foul on the play and Russell was seen bleeding after the hit, which caused a delay in the game.

Russell is Ohio State's leading scorer on the season, averaging 19.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.

The freshman finished with 28 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks against VCU and had this move with a minute remaining in overtime.

The Buckeyes beat the Rams 75-72 in overtime.
