Caleb Swanigan, a heralded prospect from Fort Wayne, Ind., announced on Friday that he has committed to Michigan State.

The 6'9'', 270-pound center also drew scholarship offers from Duke, Arizona and Cal, among other programs.

Swanigan reclassified from the class of 2016 to the class of 2015 last Spring.

In March, he led Homestead (Ind.) High to a state championship and recently was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball.

The recruiting website Rivals.com ranks Swanigan the No. 17 player in the class of 2015.

"Next year I will be going Michigan State university," Swanigan wrote on Twitter. "Once a spartan. Always a Spartan."

Swanigan joins three-star shooting guard Kyle Ahrens, four-star shooting guard Matt McQuaid and five-star power forward Deyonta Davis in Michigan State's 2015 recruiting class.

Michigan State went 27-12, posted a 12-6 record in Big Ten play and reached the NCAA tournament's Final Four as a No. 7 seed.
