Four-star shooting guard Rechon Black has verbally committed to play at North Carolina, he announced via Twitter on Friday night.

The 6’6”, 175-pound guard from Concord, N.C., had offers from Clemson, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Black had visited Chapel Hill for ‘Late Night with Roy’ in October and was in attendance for the Tar Heels’ win over Davidson on Dec. 6, reports Sherrell McMillan of Scout.com.

According to Scout.com, Black is the No. 6 overall shooting guard for the Class of 2018.

Black’s commitment is the first in the Class of 2018 for North Carolina. The Tar Heels also have a commitment from Jalek Felton, who is a top guard prospect for the Class of 2017.
