Players from St. John’s and Seton Hall got into a heated exchange at half court following the conclusion on Sunday’s game.

The emotional contest saw the Pirates lead by as much as 19, before the Red Storm raced back to take a three-point lead with less than a minute remaining.

St. John’s could not hang on in front of its home crowd, however, losing 62–61.

After the final buzzer, the players had to be separated by their coaches before leaving the court.

The win moves Seton Hall into third in the Big East standings, while St. John’s falls to 1–14 in conference play.
