Give and Go: NBA draft stock watch
Monday March 28th, 2016

Kansas freshman Cheick Diallo will declare for the NBA draft but will not hire an agent, leaving the door open to return to school, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello reports.

Diallo, a 6'9" forward, was a five-star recruit but saw limited action for the Jayhawks this season. He sat out the first five games of the season due to an eligibility issue

In 27 games this season, Diallo averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game. He scored nine points in Kansas’s blowout win over Austin Peay in the first round of the NCAA tournament but did not appear in any other tournament games.

A recent rule change gives players who declare for the draft but do not hire an agent until May 25 to pull out of the draft. The deadline is 10 days after the NBA scouting combine. Players can participate in the combine and work out with teams individually in order to assess their draft stock.
