Wisconsin forward Nigel Hayes will return to the Badgers for one more season, Hayes told the Wisconsin State Journal.

Hayes had declared for the NBA draft but did not sign with agent, leaving him eligible to return to college. Hayes was a higher rated prospect before his junior season, during which his shooting seemingly regressed.

Hayes averaged 15.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season, but shot only 36.8% from the field, including 29.3% from three. The season before, Hayes shot nearly 50% from the field, and 39.6% from three. The Badgers made the Final Four during Hayes’s first two seasons on campus, and advanced to the Sweet 16 earlier this year.

SHARP: NBA Mock Draft 4.0

In his career, Hayes has averaged 11.9 points per game on 44.1% shooting.
