ESPN's Outside the Lines team had a story today on Rutgers coach Mike Rice, who was suspended by the school for part of last season for inappropriate behavior toward his players, including shoving them and hitting them with thrown basketballs. The program included video clips of Rutgers practices that show graphic examples of a coach doing all sorts of things that should lead to his termination. Footage after the jump.
There's really not too much to add at this point. You can see the video. You can see what's in the video should not be happening between a coach and college athletes. It will be interesting to see what Rutgers' next move is, as both Rice and athletic director Tim Pernetti should be on awfully thin ice for how this was allowed to happen and subsequently handled by the athletic department.
