If you recall the Kansas-Iowa State game this season in Ames, the refereeing (especially in the final minute of regulation) was a huge talking point. In fact, two of the officials were disciplined afterward. Between some suspect calls and non-calls and fouls being allocated to the wrong player, the refs were a significant factor in Kansas' eventual overtime win.

A bit lost in that post mortem was Elijah Johnson's 39-point explosion, which helped rescue the Jayhawks, but the final two points of that outing definitely weren't forgotten, at least by Iowa State fans. Rather than just dribbling out the clock in overtime with the game in hand, Johnson drove for a dunk, which set Ames (and Twitter) ablaze.

Johnson eventually apologized for the jam, but that was after an angry Cyclones fan confronted Kansas coach Bill Self after the game.

At Kansas' team banquet Monday night, Self made sure to remind Johnson of that moment, in a really funny way:

The man does nothing but win in Lawrence, and has a sense of humor, too. That's a slam dunk Kansas fans definitely can appreciate. (h/t @DirtyBeau)
