Ten schools get new threads, colors in time for postseason play

“Sic’Em Bears” written in neon across the front of the new Baylor uniform highlights a set of 10 adidas schools unveiling new looks today in time for March postseason tournaments.

The "Made in March Uniform System," as the Portland, Ore., office of the apparel company calls them, includes four schools showing off short-sleeve looks -- Baylor, UCLA, Cincinnati and Louisville -- and six schools -- Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Wisconsin -- with traditional-cut uniforms, but all with at least a slightly revised look.

College Basketball Power Rankings: Badgers, Tar Heels, Lobos on the rise

All 10 schools will don a perforated print pattern, also a ventilation tool, on the shorts, while some of the uniforms bring the pattern up to the shoulder too.

Baylor’s two new uniform sets offer the most eye-catching colors -- thankfully not as distracting as last year’s wild camo offerings for tourney time -- with neon yellow and army green as a way to honor the school’s strong military history. UCLA will feature navy blue and gold in a L.A. nights inspiration (similar to the football team), and Indiana will go cream, paying homage to the tradition of the team’s “crimson and cream” nickname.

All jerseys have team-selected school mantras printed on the inside color.

Fans will first see the new looks during conference tournament play.
