Left tackle Seantrel Henderson, the nation's No. 2 overall recruit according to Rivals.com, selected USC as his college choice Wednesday evening.

Henderson, a standout at Cretin-Derham Hall in Minnesota, was long expected to announce for Ohio State. But the 6-foot-8, 330-pounder took his last official visit to Miami this past weekend, and continued to receive strong late pushes from USC and Minnesota. He also considered Notre Dame, Florida and Oklahoma. Henderson made the decision around 9 p.m. Tuesday evening in his midtown Manhattan hotel room.

"I give it up to Florida for their recruiting class, but I think it's going to be Florida-USC for the next three national title games," Henderson said.

The New York Times has reported that Henderson has not signed a letter of intent and is waiting until the school appears before the NCAA infractions committee this month.

Henderson is the top offensive line prospect in the country, and has been ranked by talent evaluator Tom Lemming as the best overall prospect in the class of 2010 since his sophomore year.
