You are: Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees

A few months ago, this didn't even seem possible. You had stuck it out and done everything you were asked, but Brian Kelly had picked the other guy. Sure, the coaches asked you to come in and pull their fannies out of the fire on a few occasions last year, but they'd made it clear this was going to be Everett Golson's offense. Besides, you'd had your issues with crippling interceptions in previous years. Then Golson went and got suspended, and there you were. The hotshot recruit from last year had already bailed and gone to Cincinnati. This was your offense again.

Now here you are, facing Oklahoma in Notre Dame Stadium on Sept. 28. Trevor Knight, the Sooners redshirt freshman quarterback, was pretty good, but he hadn't seen anyone like Louis Nix III and Stephon Tuitt. Tuitt has sacked him twice and flushed him from the pocket several more times. But when Knight gets loose, the kid can scoot. Their defense still has issues with the run. Tailback George Atkinson III has gained 176 yards on 17 carries.

He may need to gain a couple more. You are down four points with a minute to go. You face fourth-and-goal on the two-yard line. You get the play from the sideline. You'll be faking to Atkinson and throwing into the end zone. Hopefully, 270-pound tight end Troy Niklas will muscle his way open.
