Clemson football's Twitter account prods South Carolina for lack of BCS win

It may be college football's offseason, but the Clemson-South Carolina rivalry rages on all the same. Clemson football's official Twitter account took a not-so-subtle jab at the Gamecocks Thursday.

The Tigers' 40-35 win over Ohio State in the Orange Bowl marks the only victory any South Carolina school notched in the history of the BCS, which will be replaced by a four-team playoff starting this season. South Carolina beat Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day.

Clemson will host South Carolina at Frank Howard Field in their annual rivalry game on November 29. The Gamecocks are ranked 16th in SI.com's post-spring power rankings, one spot ahead of the Tigers.
