New Texas football head coach Charlie Strong removed the Longhorns logo from the team's helmets for the start of training camp practice, reports Anwar Richardson of Rivals.com. Defensive end Cedric Reed said the players must earn the logo.
On Monday, he confirmed that seven players have been dismissed from the team and three more have been indefinitely suspended, saying he expects his players to have core values if they want to play for him.
The logo-less helmets are visible in a photo by Richardson from practice:
Texas opens its season on Aug. 30, when it hosts North Texas.
