The Iowa Hawkeyes finished the 2013 college football season at 8-5 overall and 5-3 in the Big Ten. They earned a berth in the Outback Bowl, where they lost to the LSU Tigers, 21-14. 

This season, the hopes are high for the Hawkeyes. Jake Rudock returns at quarterback for Iowa this year after throwing for 2,383 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. He also threw 13 interceptions.
