Quarterback Blake Sims will start for No. 2 Alabama in its season opener against West Virginia in Atlanta on Saturday, according to a report from CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler.

The report says that Jake Coker, a transfer from Florida State, will back up Sims but will also play against West Virginia.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban said earlier this week that a decision had not been made about who will replace AJ McCarron.

Alabama is favored by more than three touchdowns over the Mountaineers.
