Darian Roseboro, a highly touted defensive lineman from Lincolntown, N.C., announced during a televised ceremony on Friday that he has verbally committed to Michigan.
Roseboro also drew scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and UCLA, among other programs. He is the No. 3-ranked player in North Carolina and the No. 6-ranked defensive tackle in the class of 2015, according to the recruiting website Rivals.com.
Preseason Big Ten power rankings
The 6-foot-4, 283-pounder is the 11th player and first defensive lineman in the class of 2015 to commit to the Wolverines. Michigan's 2015 recruiting class is ranked 18th in the country by Rivals.com.
The Wolverines open the 2014 season Saturday against Appalachian State.
