Elon Phoenix vs. Duke Blue Devils
Duke hosts Elon this weekend to kick off the 2014 college football season. The Blue Devils are coming off a 2013 season in which they finished 10-4 overall and won the ACC Coastal Division before losing in the conference championship game to Florida State. Duke then lost to Texas A&M in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. Elon went 2-10 in 2013, including a 1-7 SoCon record.

Duke appeared in the Top 25 polls last season for the first time since 1994.
David Cutcliffe is entering his seventh season as the Blue Devils' head coach.
In 2013, Cutcliffe was named the Walter Camp Coach of the Year. He was also named ACC Coach of the Year for the second season in a row.
Last season marked the first time in school history that the team won 10 games.
