Texas Tech, Kliff Kingsbury agree to contract extension
Texas Tech and coach Kliff Kingsbury have reached an agreement on a contract extension through the 2020 season, according to a school spokesman.
The extension reportedly will pay Kingsbury an average of $3.5 million annually.
Kingsbury, 35, led the Red Raiders to an 8-5 record and Holiday Bowl victory over Arizona State last season, his first at the school. Before Texas Tech hired Kingsbury in December 2012, he served as the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M and Houston.
