Pittsburgh vs. Boston College 

Boston College will take on Pittsburgh in an ACC matchup Friday. Both teams opened up with wins last week, with Pitt shutting out Delaware 62-0 and Boston College beating UMass 30-7.

Florida transfer Tyler Murphy made his first start at quarterback for the Eagles last week, throwing for 173 yards and one touchdown. His 118 rushing yards were the second-most by any quarterback in Week 1.

Boston College's 15 graduates on its roster is tied with Alabama for the most in the nation.

The Eagles had a time of possession of 42:11 against UMass, the best in the country for Week 1.

The defense allowed just nine first downs to the Minutemen, which tied for the seventh-best total nationally. 

Boston College was perfect in four red zone trips against UMass, getting two touchdowns and two field goals

Pittsburgh facts

Pitt and Boston College will be meeting for the first time in 10 years. The Panthers have a three-game winning streak in the series and lead it 16-13 all-time.  ​

In his first start at quarterback, sophomore Chad Voytik had 84 yards on 10-of-14 passing with two touchdowns. 

The Panthers ran for 409 yards last week, their highest single-game rushing total since 1976. 

Last week's 62-0 win was Pittsburgh's largest margin of victory since 1977. 

Sophomore running back James Conner rushed for 153 yards with four touchdowns in the opener.
