Oklahoma secured a verbal commitment from four-star prospect Will Sunderland over the weekend.

Sunderland, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound safety, is from Midwest City, Okla. He is ranked the eighth-best safety in the country by Rivals.com.

Sunderland’s commitment brings the Sooners’ 2015 class to 12, including seven who are ranked four stars or above by various recruiting services. He chose Oklahoma over Ohio State after visiting last weekend and also had offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Nebraska.

Oklahoma improved to 3-0 this Saturday after defeating Tennessee 34-10.
