Game Facts

The Gophers defeated the Spartans 43-24 last season behind quarterback Mitch Leidner's 151 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Minnesota's defense is allowing more than 150 yards per game on the ground.

The Golden Gophers' offense is ranked 107th in the FBS.

The Spartans are just 2-6 in games played against the original Big Ten members.

San Jose State quarterback Blake Jurich has completed at least 70 percent of his passes through the first three weeks of the season. He is one of only 10 quarterbacks in the FBS to hit that mark.
