Florida State Seminoles vs. NC State Wolfpack

Two Atlantic Coast Conference undefeated teams are set to meet at Carter-Finley Stadium when No. 1 Florida State (3-0) visits 4-0 North Carolina State. The Seminoles, without suspended Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, survived in overtime against Clemson last week, 23-17, while the Wolfpack blanked FCS foe Presbyterian, 42-0. Winston will return this Saturday. 

Florida State leads the all-time series between the two sides 23-11, including a 9-7 mark in Raleigh. The Seminoles won last year’s meeting in Tallahassee, 49-17.

Week 4: Florida State 23, Clemson 17 (OT)

Karlos Williams won the game for Florida State with a 12-yard touchdown run in overtime. Sean Maguire connected with Rashad Greene for a 74-yard touchdown pass to tie the game with 6:04 left in regulation. The game was Florida State's first overtime win since a double-OT victory over NC State in 2003.

Week 3: Bye

Week 2: Florida State 37, Citadel 12

The victory over Citadel set a Seminoles record with a 18th straight win. Florida State is now 28-0 against unranked opponents when ranked No. 1. The Seminoles’ streak of 20 straight games forcing at least one turnover ended.

Week 1: Florida State 37, Oklahoma State 31

Florida State never trailed in the game. They ran out the clock after the Cowboys scored with 1:55 to go. Rashad Greene became the sixth Seminole receiver with a 200-yard game with 203 yards. Quarterback Jameis Winston was 25-of-40 for 370 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

NC State

Week 4: NC State 42, Presbyterian 0

NC State moved to 4-0 for the first time since 2010 and went unbeaten in non-conference play for the first time since 2005. The shutout was NC State’s first since 2011 against North CarolinaThe Wolfpack has scored 40 or more points in three straight games for the first time in program history.

Week 3: NC State 49, South Florida 17

The Wolfpack’s 35 first-half points was their most in a first half on the road since scoring 38 at Navy in 2002. NC State’s five rushing touchdowns were its most in a road game since scoring six at Texas Tech in 2002. The Wolfpack’s 315 rushing yards were their most since netting 327 in 1994 against Maryland.

Week 2: NC State 46, Old Dominion 34

Niklas Sade had a field goal and five extra points to move into second place on the school’s all-time scoring list with 264 points. Running back Ted Brown holds the school's current record with 312 points from 1975-78. Shadrach Thornton had three of NC State’s six touchdowns and running backs accounted for five of them in all. NC State committed just one penalty for five yards in the game.

Week 1: NC State 24, Georgia Southern 23

Jacoby Brissett hit Matt Dayes for a 35-yard touchdown pass with 1:37 left to complete a come-from-behind win for the Wolfpack. Brissett directed two fourth-quarter scoring drives, a 12-play, 99-yard drive and the game-winning nine-play, 75-yard possession. On the final two scoring drives, Brissett was 14-for-16 for 131 yards and two TDs.
