Four-star quarterback recruit Torrance Gibson announced Monday that he has verbally committed to Ohio State.
Gibson, a senior from Plantation, Fla., is the No. 6 athlete and No. 103 player in the class of 2015, according to Rivals.com.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder also drew scholarship offers from LSU, Miami and Auburn, among other programs. Though Gibson is listed and ranked as an athlete and is considered a quick and elusive runner, he is expected to compete at quarterback in college.
He passed for more than 1,800 yards and rushed for more than 1,000 yards while accounting for 29 total touchdowns as a junior at American Heritage High.
Gibson is the 19th player and second quarterback — joining three-star prospect Joe Burrow — in the class of 2015 to commit to the Buckeyes. Ohio State's 2015 recruiting class is now ranked 10th in the country.
