College football bettors have 13 smaller bowl games to choose from during a busy Christmas week before the bigger matchups take place. Beginning Monday there is at least one game every day outside of Christmas Day up until Sunday.
There are two games scheduled for Wednesday and played outside the continental United States in the Bahamas Bowl and the Hawaii Bowl. The Bahamas Bowl will see the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers face the Central Michigan Chippewas, and the latest college football betting lines show the former favored by 3 1/2 points over the latter. In the Hawaii Bowl, the Rice Owls are consensus two-point favorites against the Fresno State Bulldogs.
After a brief break on Christmas Day, Friday has three bowl matchups on the college football odds slate, with five more games set for Saturday.
Friday’s games include the Heart of Dallas Bowl between the Illinois Fighting Illini and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (-6), the Quick Lane Bowl between the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and North Carolina Tar Heels (-3) and the St. Petersburg Bowl between the North Carolina State Wolfpack and Central Florida Golden Knights (-1.5).
On Saturday, bettors are treated to the Military Bowl between the Virginia Tech Hokies and Cincinnati Bearcats (-3), the Sun Bowl between the Duke Blue Devils and Arizona State Sun Devils (-7.5), the Independence Bowl between the Miami Hurricanes (-3.5) and South Carolina Gamecocks, the Pinstripe Bowl between the Penn State Nittany Lions and Boston College Eagles (-2.5) and the Holiday Bowl between the Nebraska Cornhuskers and USC Trojans (-7).
