An incidence of high winds destroyed tents at the Rose Bowl fanfest Wednesday and left four injured, according to ABC7 in Pasadena.
Tents and booths began to become unmoored from the ground and then flew into the air, sending people running away for their safety. According to the report, a wind advisory is in effect until 12 p.m. ET Thursday for the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, San Gabriel Valley and Ventura County coastal valleys.
High winds were also observed at Tuesday night's Foster Farms Bowl in Santa Clara, Calif.
The annual Rose Parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. ET Thursday. The Rose Bowl Game, a playoff semifinal featuring Oregon and Florida State, is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. ET.
