Five-star linebacker Porter Gustin committed to USC on Tuesday.
Gustin, the No. 1 inside linebacker in the country, is the No. 25 ranked player in the country out of Salem Hills in Utah, according to Rivals. He picked USC over Ohio State, Utah and Arizona State. He also had a hat for Division II Dixie State at his press conference because it was the first school to offer him a scholarship, according to Salem Hills coach Joel Higginson.
He played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl last month.
USC also picked up a commitment from another Utah player in four-star linebacker Osa Masina. Masina played for Brighton High School in Salt Lake City and is the No. 3 outside linebacker and No. 37 overall player in the country, according to Rivals.
This year marks Trojans head coach Steve Sarkisian's first recruiting class since NCAA sanctions on the program ended.
