Mississippi State offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins was arrested last week on a warrant regarding simple assault, reports The Clarion-Ledger.

According to the report, Jenkins was booked and released on Thursday. The Mississippi State University police department provided no other details concerning Jenkins' arrest.

Jenkins, a freshman from Clarksdale, Miss., was a 2014 three-star recruit, according to Rivals.

He is the second Mississippi State player that has been arrested in the past week.
