Purdue introduced alternate "anthracite" gray uniforms on Saturday, showing a color scheme from Nike that is a departure from the Boilermakers' traditional black and gold.
Purdue typically wears black uniforms for home games and white on the road. These alternates are heavy on the gray and white, but limit the black and gold mainly to the school's logo and lettering on the helmet.
Purdue's spring game is scheduled for April 18. It is unclear whether the Boilermakers will promote the new uniforms during the game.
Purdue went 3-9 last season, its second under head coach Darrell Hazell.
On Friday, TCU also revealed new uniforms for the upcoming season that will sport frog-skin patterns in three different colors.
Last season, Illinois also broke out gray alternate uniforms.
