Former Alabama running back Altee Tenpenny will transfer to UNLV, he announced on his private Instagram account, according to AL.com.

Tenpenny first announced his intention to transfer in January.

The former top four-star recruit carried only 48 times for 218 yards and one touchdown in two seasons for the Crimson Tide.

Tenpenny was Alabama's fifth leading rusher in 2014, behind quarterback Blake Sims and running backs Derrick Henry, T.J. Yeldon and Tyren Jones.

UNLV split its 2014 carries between senior Shaquille Murray-Lawrence and sophomore Keith Whitely, both of whom carried more than 100 times for more than 500 yards as the Rebels finished 2-11.
