Army is looking for its first win of the year after the Black Knights lost to FCS school Fordham in Week 1. Army was outgained 445–389 and turned the ball over twice. In his first start at quarterback, freshman Ahmad Bradshaw scored four of the team’s five touchdowns, throwing two and rushing for two.

Connecticut fought off Villanova in Week 1, 20–15, thanks to a late 27-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Bryan Shirreffs to Arkeel Newsome. Shirreffs finished with 202 yards through the air, two touchdowns, and an interception.
