Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn confirmed that senior defensive back Joshua Holsey tore his ACL, reports John Zenor of the Associated Press. 

Holsey sustained the injury during the Tigers’ 27-20 win over Jacksonville State on Saturday. Holsey will miss the rest of the season.

He has not previously redshirted and may be eligible to play another season, reports Jim Kleinpeter of NOLA.com.

Holsey has played in 31 games during his career at Auburn, recording 69 solo tackles and an interception.
