Michigan State Spartans sophomore left tackle Dennis Finley is out for the season, coach Mark Dantonio told reporters Saturday.

Finley broke his tibia and fibula Saturday against Purdue, and underwent surgery after the game. Finley was making his first career start against the Boilermakers.

Finley sustained the injury late in the first half, and was replaced by center Jack Allen for the rest of the game. Guard Brian Allen moved to center, and redshirt freshman David Beedle entered the game as well.

The Spartans are now without two left tackles, as Finley was starting in place of injured junior Jack Conklin. Michigan State will play Rutgers next week.
