Out of the darkness: Temple set to face toughest test
Ten years ago, Temple—cast out of the Big East for a lack of attendance, facilities and competitiveness—played as an independent. The Owls went 0–11 in 2005, and their football team was close to disappearing.
Now, under coach Matt Rhule, Temple is 7–0 and ranked in the AP Poll for the first time since 1979.
