Arizona State travels to face Cal on Saturday in a meeting of two 6–5 teams. Both squads close their season schedule, with Arizona State having won two in a row and Cal coming off a loss to Stanford. Both teams are bowl-eligible and can improve their destination with a win. Cal quarterback Jared Goff will look to exploit Arizona State’s inconsistent defensive backs, as the Sun Devils have been tough on opposing running backs. ASU’s Demario Richard has been solid on the ground and is probable to play despite being dinged up.
