Four-star defensive end Mark Jackson flipped his commitment to Oklahoma from Texas A&M on Monday, reports The Oklahoman’s Jason Kersey.
Jackson, who had been committed to the Aggies since May, made the switch following his official visit to Norman last weekend.
“I needed some place where I couldn’t just play football but could also become a better student,” Jackson said. “I definitely feel like I have that chance at OU.”
The No. 149 player in the Scout 300 and No. 19 defensive end in his class, Jackson was a U.S. Army All-America selection.
The Cibolo, Texas native is the fourth four-star commitment in Oklahoma’s class of 2016 since Saturday afternoon.
National Signing Day is Wednesday.
