Four-star defensive tackle Boss Tagaloa committed to UCLA on Wednesday.
Tagaloa is ranked 87st overall among recruits in the class of 2016 and 12th at his position, according to Scout.com. He chose UCLA over Michigan, Cal and USC, among other schools.
According to Scout, Tagaloa is “an elite tackle prospect with the ability to step in and play early in college.” Scout lists his intensity, size and advanced techniques as strengths, while identifying foot quickness as an area to improve.
The 6'1", 295-pound defensive lineman logged 48 total tackles and 6.5 sacks in his senior season at De La Salle High in California.
Tagaloa finished with 146 tackles and 20.5 sacks over his four years in high school.
